
Zach is an ABC Certified Prosthetist and licensed prosthetist. He is a graduate of Bowling Green State University and a post graduate of Northwestern University’s Prosthetic Certificate Program in Chicago, IL. Zach started his career working with Aaron Fitzsimmons, CP at The Surgical Clinic as a resident following graduation. There, he created a research project which focused on the aspects for improving amputation surgery. These advanced techniques which include, modified through knee and osteomyoplastic reconstruction were implemented at The Surgical Clinic and are still being used today. Following the residency program, Zach served as Director of Prosthetics for Premier Surgical Associates. While at PSA he was able to implement these surgery techniques and improve the quality of care for patients in Knoxville, TN. Now, as V.P. of Clinical Operations for Amputee Associates, Zach focuses his efforts on improving the outcomes of amputee patients for each practice. This includes training, providing access to new technologies, documentation protocols, acute care protocols, and ongoing surgical recommendations. Zach is a member of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists, American Board for Certification in Prosthetics and Orthotics, American Orthotic Prosthetic Association, and is a Certified Residency Director for the National Commission on Orthotic and Prosthetic Education. Outside of work, Zach thoroughly enjoys spending time out on the links golfing and assisting with our non-profit partner Amputee Blade Runners.
